06/06/08 - Ride to the Beach

Shawnette and I decided to take a quickie trip to the beach. In today’s world with $4 gas the motorcycle is pretty much the way to go thanks to fuel mileage. We loaded up on the Goldwing and headed south to Gulf Shores. We didn’t exactly stay under the speed limit since we didn’t leave Trussville till about 1:30PM. Fortunately there isn’t much anything between Montgomery and the beach except trees, and the average speed of traffic on 59 there is pretty darn high. We rode around the beach all day Saturday doing various things, the picture provided is one of the bike at sunset just before we boarded the Dolphin cruise at Bear creek marina.
